EuropeEntrepreneurs-PMEfinance is an independent, non-profit think tank bringing together leading entrepreneurs and finance professionals in France. The organization works on a variety of issues related to financing entrepreneurship and advocates to public authorities.

Europe Unlimited provides event and online matching platforms between innovative companies and investors across Europe. It manages the International Venture Club, a collaborative platform of leading independent VC fund managers as well as corporate, government and institutional investors.

IESE Business School, the graduate business school of the University of Navarra, is widely recognized as one of the world's leading business schools. Research is a central aspect of IESE activities and is one of the key ingredients contributing to the institution's global recognition.

Professor and head of department of Entrepreneurship, holder of the Bertrán Foundation Chair of Entrepreneurship at IESE.

Primary area of interest is the entrepreneurial process, which includes the identification, evaluation and implementation of opportunities in any context. Central to this work is developing strategies and systems that help established firms achieve profitable growth.

Second work stream focuses on understanding the key factors in building and managing professional service firms. Has had the opportunity to develop both areas of interest through teaching, research projects and consulting work.

Nominated Kauffman Emerging Scholar for her dissertation work and has published in international journals and congress proceedings, both for practitioners as well as the academic community. Also authored teaching materials and contributions to several books on entrepreneurship and strategy related topics.

Holds a DBA in business administration from Harvard University, an MBA from IESE Business School, and a degree in industrial engineering from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya.

Businessperson who has been the head of 6 different companies and currently occupies the position of Chairman at Oneaccess, Inc., Chairman at Oneaccess Belgium BV and Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Ekinops SA, Chairman of Ekinops Corp. and Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of OneAccess SA (both are subsidiaries of Ekinops SA). Mr. Brédy is also on the board of Oneaccess (India).

Previously held the position of General Manager of Ingenico Group SA, Principal at Xerox Corp., Head-Marketing at Pacific Data Products, Chief Executive Officer for Ivex Corp and Vice President-Marketing at Truevision, Inc.

Began his career in 1986 at Société Générale, where he joined the ECM team in 1992. Joined the Oddo Corporate Finance teams in 2003 to lead the Equity Capital Markets business, in charge of IPOs, capital increases and secondary investments. Responsible for the Corporate Broking activity of Oddo Corporate Finance.

For the last fifteen years, he has been constantly mobilizing for SMEs and mid-cap companies by actively participating in reflections of Place on the subject. In his daily business at Oddo, he has accompanied many mid-market companies in their market access as President of ALIS, the Listing Sponsors of Euronext Growth. At the head of EnterNext, Eric Forest is responsible, in Europe, for all activities and resources related to SMEs and mid-cap companies within the Euronext Group.

Lived in the US, working in manufacturing with Cummins Engine Company, and in strategy consulting with Bain & Co. in Boston, before returning to the UK to join Apax Partners & Co in 1989 to invest in early stage companies. Became Chief Operating Officer of one of her investee companies, Virtuality Group plc, after it listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1993, and then returned to investing as a business angel before founding Amadeus in 1997.

Serves on the boards of Glysure, Covestor Inc, and Nomad plc. Currently Chairman of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and a member of the European Commission’s Research, Innovation, and Science Policy Expert (RISE) High-Level Group. Member of the UK Government’s Council for Science and Technology and of the London Business School’s Private Equity Institute Advisory Board.

Specializes in industrial biotechnology investments. Joined Sofinnova Partners in 1991. In charge of the technology transfer department at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), France’s agricultural research institute for five years.

Joined the venture capital industry in 1989 as director of investments at Innolion (Crédit Lyonnais). During his first 17 years at Sofinnova Partners, carried out many investments in Health Care such as Nicox, Oxford Glycosciences, Oxford Molecular, PPL Therapeutics, Conjuchem, Exonhit, IDM, Innate Pharma, Ablynx, Cerenis, and Noxxon (all of which successfully went public) as well as Novexel (sold to Astrazeneca), and Crop Design (sold to BASF Crop Sciences). Recently specialized in Industrial Biotech and invested in BioAmber and Avantium (both went public respectively on NYSE and Euronext Amsterdam) and in Green Biologics and Agrosavfe.

Graduated from EAP-European School of Management (Paris, Oxford, Berlin – Diplôme de Grande Ecole de Gestion – Diplom Kaufmann) in 1989 and previously from the Catholic University of Brussels in Economics.

Embarked on his professional career at the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA) where he was appointed Secretary General at the age of 25. Managing an annual budget of €2M, he launched several ambitious initiatives, one that led to the creation of EASDAQ (which became Nasdaq Europe) while significantly growing revenues, profits and membership.

Founded Europe Unlimited in 1998 to be a much-needed European hub for fast-growing entrepreneurs raising their profile with venture capital investors. Today, Europe Unlimited has achieved that difficult mission and is a profitable company with revenues of €3M. Europe Unlimited organises 15 international venture and technology partnering forums with over 1,000 presenters every year attracting a huge network of venture capital investors, corporate partners, university tech transfer groups, innovation policy makers and deal makers.

Independent investor relations, communications, and public policy consultant. He served as the External Relations Director for Invest Europe - the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association - and was responsible for political advocacy campaigns, policy formation and association management from 2010 to 2014 .

Prior to Invest Europe he was the Head of Marketing and Communications at Climate Change Capital and responsible for fund raising campaigns across a number of asset classes including venture capital, growth equity, carbon emissions, property and renewable energy infrastructure.

He has held a number of positions in the commercial conference and research sector.

Graduate in International Relations with over 2 years of experience in policy and legal analysis, research and communication in the migration, GBV and Business subject areas. Working in academia and in the development sector I conducted a variety of research projects which greatly developed my analytical skills.

Exposed to multicultural environments and engaged with people from different backgrounds while giving classes to refugee children, women and men at the Syrian border, conducting interviews with senior management executives at IESE Business School, or representing the NGO Street Child at events, liaising with potential partners and donors.

Gained in-depth knowledge of International Law with a strong focus on International Human Rights law, the UN system and European protection mechanisms. One of most interesting projects was published by two academic and educational publishers, entailed carrying out a comparative analysis on GBV and femicide laws amongst 14 different countries.
